Coastal Calm & Homegrown Love | Marisa & Rodell’s Maternity Session in Pensacola
Marisa and Rodell’s maternity session was the perfect blend of beachside magic and at-home intimacy—and it couldn’t have felt more them. We started the afternoon in the comfort of their home, where the love was already radiating in the sweetest, quiet ways. And, of course, we had a very important family member join us: their Doberman, Monty.
Monty was such a gentle, protective presence throughout the in-home portion of their session. You could tell he already knows his world is about to change—and that he’s more than ready for his new role as big brother. He followed Marisa around like a shadow, resting his head gently near her bump and sneaking into frames with the kind of loyalty and love only a dog can give.
After some slow, sunlit moments in their nursery and around their living space, we headed to Pensacola Beach just in time for golden hour. The wind off the water, soft waves lapping at our feet, and the stunning pastel skies created the dreamiest setting for this next chapter in their lives.
Marisa glowed in every frame—barefoot in the sand, hand on her belly, smiling with the kind of peace that comes from deep love and sweet anticipation. And Rodell, always by her side, held her like he already knew he was holding the future. Together, they radiated calm, strength, and joy.
This session wasn’t just about documenting the transition into parenthood. It was about honoring who they are right now—partners, teammates, and a little family (with Monty!) about to grow.
